Alex Lazar is a Founder, Board Member, President & CEO of Nurocor. Alex is a technology industry veteran who has led and repeatedly built rapidly-scaling businesses through dynamic, hands-on management. An experienced software executive with more than 25 years of management, sales, and operational experience building high performance teams, managing risk, driving change, and enabling growth based on collaborative customer partnering. Alex leads the management team as the company continues to aggressively expand its product portfolio, revenue, and market position by delivering maximum value for our customers.

Founder, Executive Vice President Clinical Innovation

With more than 20 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry (biostatistics, data management, and data standards), Barrie Nelson has first-hand knowledge of the value standards in clinical research. Barrie proved the value of comprehensive standards by establishing an end-to-end standards group at Amgen (protocol to tables, figures, and listings. Barrie is now working with Nurocor clients to realize the vision of a standards-driven digitalized clinical development process. Barrie strongly believes that the marriage of data standards with Nurocor Clinical Platform provides the digital backbone for clinical trials, and that digitalization is the future for the pharmaceutical industry for serving patients and accelerating the delivery of new therapies to the market.

Frederik Malfait

Frederik Malfait

Senior Vice President of Information Architecture

Frederik Malfait drives the information architecture for Nurocor’s industry-leading Digital Asset Repository, focusing on protocol and standards-driven clinical trial lifecycle automation. Frederik applies his expertise in standards and metadata technologies to help organizations deliver on the promise of clinical data standards. For more than 20 years he has engaged in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry with assignments ranging across drug safety, biometrics, clinical data management, statistical programming, and data standards. Frederik initiated and was the co-lead of the PhUSE CSS Semantic Technology working group, designed a semantic MDR for a large pharmaceutical company, and supported TransCelerate and CDISC as they developed the next generation of the CDISC library.

Brent Carlson

Senior Vice President of Technology & Operations

Brent Carlson leads the product development and delivery team for Nurocor. Having spent the first part of his career at IBM, he left in 2000 to co-found LogicLibrary, a software ISV that developed the core technology upon which the Nurocor Digital Asset Repository is based. With over 20 years of enterprise architecture and leadership experience, Brent and his team of talented technologists are extending Nurocor’s reach to the full clinical lifecycle through the suite of Nurocor Clinical Platform applications.

Senior Vice President of Process & Tech Optimization

Maria Perkinson brings more than 20 years of experience delivering strategic transformation solutions. She has led many large-scale global initiatives within the pharmaceutical industry. Maria has extensive experience applying process improvement, innovation, and change management methodologies to maximize the value of an integrated digitalization strategy and solution. Coupled with her ability to bridge disparate organizations and drive unified strategies and disciplines, Maria brings critical value as digitalization and innovation continue to play an increasingly vital role in the pharmaceutical industry.

Bron Kisler

Bron Kisler

Senior Vice President Customer Alliances & Partnerships

Bron Kisler is a globally recognized leader in international standards development with more than 20 years, experience.  He was co-founder of the Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium (CDISC) and CEO of the Clinical Research Data Sharing Alliance (CRDSA). Bron is a member of the International Organization for Standards and was Chair of the Interoperability for Health Informatics Committee, a founding member of the Vienna Vaccine Safety Initiative (ViVI), a member of the US National Cancer Institute (NCI), and is a Biomedical Informatics specialist. 

As co-founder of CDISC, Bron played a pivotal role in CDISC’s growth and international recognition with membership and revenue spanning more than 30 countries.

Paul Gigg is a Founder and Chairman of Nurocor. He is an experienced CEO, board member, and technology investor, with a track record of building high-growth profitable companies. He has successfully operated both private and public corporations in the United States and Europe. Paul has built significant value for customers, shareholders, and employees, by enabling enterprises to introduce new capabilities and business models through the implementation of innovative technology while controlling costs.

Paul’s reputation for success in market and company building encompasses an understanding of organizational expansion and change, and a focus towards attaining excellence with profitable results. Paul served as CEO at Akana, Access360, and ISOCOR, and was a Vice President at IBM.

Greg Martin

Founder and Vice Chairman of Nurocor

Greg Martin is a Founder and Vice Chairman of Nurocor. He is an experienced entrepreneur and venture capital investor having started and managed multiple investment firms including Archer Venture Capital, Liquid Stock, and Rainmaker Securities. Greg has started multiple companies including BeTheBeast, Raiven, and Nurocor.

Through his time as a partner at Redpoint Ventures, Archer Venture Capital, and Liquid Stock, Greg has been involved with numerous successful exits including TrueCar (TRUE), 2U (TWOU), Credit Karma (sold to Intuit), SquareTrade (sold to AllState), Shopkick (sold to SK Telecom), TrueX Media (sold to Fox), Yodlee (YDLE), MySpace (sold to NEWS), Networks in Motion (sold to TSYS), Alacra (sold to Opus Global), TelASIC Communications (sold to MTI), Simula Labs (sold to Exist Labs), Webvisible (sold to The Berry Company), and Akana Software (sold to RogueWave).
